TEACHING
Katie is a dance and theater educator throughout the tri state area. She has taught students from 3 to 63 years old, both in group and private lessons, for 10+ years. Currently, she teaches at Shuffles, ChickenshedNYC, and Lucy Moses Summer Musical Theater Workshop.

Katie is on the head Musical Theater Dance staff at Shuffles. She is the main choreographer for their Pre-Professional showcase classes, as well as a tap teacher for ages 6-18 years old. Every year, she creates the musical theater finale production number that incorporates 60+ students dancing and singing together!

In addition to Shuffles, Katie also is a Theater Practitioner and Afterschool Project Manager for ChickenshedNYC, an inclusive children's theater company. She has been involved with Chickenshed ever since it came over to the states from the UK in 2018.
Katie assistant directs 2 mainstage productions a year, manages the Tuesday afterschool program, and is a theater practitioner working with kids of all abilities and backgrounds every Saturday. Each workshop, no matter the age, is youth led and based on both scripted and devised musical theater. At Chickenshed, the approach to inclusivity is grounded in the belief that everyone can flourish when everyone is included. We believe that creative activities, self-expression and performance should be available to anyone who has the desire, no matter their background or circumstances.
Katie has also taught dance and theater at studios including Interim Dance Collective, the Helen Hayes Youth Theater, North Jersey School of Dance Arts, and Dance Project of Washington Heights.She teaches several adult private Tap lessons through Shuffles.
